Television coverage of PGA tournaments is fantastic but is a poor substitute for a professional lesson. When watching a lesson, notice how a great player tends to linger slightly longer at the top. The down swing also begins slowly before rapid acceleration near the ball. The action is similar to cracking a whip.
After watching a great swing, play back your personal recording. The difference in total elapsed time may hold the key for lower scores.
