The game of golf is a passion that deserves proper study and training to improve. Reading books can allow a golfer to learn techniques and strategies to improve their golf scores. Three books that are recommended are:
1. Break 100 Now: From Hacker to Golfer in 90 Days – authored by Mike Adams. Mr. Adams applies a non-technical practical approach focused on strategies to improve your score. Designed for the beginner and novice golfer but also valuable to an experienced player.
2. Golf is Not a Game of Perfect – by Dr. Bob Rotella. Improvement of scores by a focus on the psychological aspects of the game.
3. Turning Three Shots into Two- by Bob Moretti and Mike Stachura. A focus on the short game by a leading PGA Instructor.

I bought myself this golf lesson DVD a few months back, and it really made me a better player. It?s actually made drastic improvements to my game that are much more than I would have expected for the price. I ordered another golf lesson DVD from the same company the other day, and I decided to order one for a friend of mine as well. He has a birthday coming up, and he?s not a very advanced golfer, but he loves the game. I think he?s really going to benefit from the information on this DVD, and he?ll probably shave several strokes off his game.

If you are a beginner on the course, then you should not neglect golf lessons. Without learning the proper swing, you may pick up bad habits that will be difficult to shed later in your golf life. You can get formal or informal golf lessons, just may sure you get those lessons!
- The Golf Course
Every registered golf course should have a golf professional. This individual will be able to help you on certain areas of the game. You may have to pay a small fee, but it will be worth it. You can also watch some of the better golfers on the course, and ask them for tips occasionally.
- The Driving Range
If you go to your local driving range, then you should be able to find a golf coach with relative ease. These lessons may be more expensive, but they will be worth it!

One of the best things that you can do to improve your swing is to use a golf swing analyzer. Launch monitors are available at most stores that sell golf equipment and can make a tremendous difference in your game. By using a swing analyzer, you can track important statistics like your ball speed, spin rate, club head speed, and launch angle. All of these factors contribute to how your ball flies and the distance that it will travel. If you don’t have access to any store that has a launch monitor, you can buy rudimentary equipment online that will measure your club head speed. This is one of the more important statistics and can help you to determine whether or not you are playing the proper flex in your shafts.

One of the most frustrating things to encounter in the game of golf is a period where you drive the ball well, but your approach shots go begging. You feel comfortable in the fairway, but you just can’t put irons anywhere near the pin. You need some golf iron help and it needs to come from a person who knows what they are doing. In getting golf iron help, you will want to look at distance control and your alignment. If your issue is hitting it too far or too short, then that is something that can be fixed with better club selection and more consistency. If your problem is right and left, then you might need to put down some clubs and make sure that you are aligned at the pin.

One of the best golf swing tips I’ve ever come across is also one of the few tips that applies to everyone that plays the game, and I’ve adopted it as my own personal golf tip for anyone I meet. Whatever your swing plane, whether you slice or hook every single time, your golf swing can always be improved by improving your tempo. Getting that good momentary pause and getting the club into place right at the peak of your golf swing, and waiting just till the bottom of your swing to release through and hear that “swoosh” sound usually results in a good golf shot. Then, even though you may not yet have mastered other golf swing tips and you still hit the ball right every time, you’ll still play pretty good golf as long as you can stay in tempo and hit it consistently that way.
